Well, Marcelo Joaquim Alencar daSilva is four. I guess my Confirmation name could fit in there so it's one of the ones you don't know.

And it's only suspicious if you only live in a tiny bubble of culture and have nothing to do with South America.

You know what? No. That New York doesn't exist. Whatever rarefied air you think exists in that fantasy land is as down and dirty as the South Bronx. If New York were as superficial and prejudiced as you are, it wouldn't be the cosmopolitan city it is. It is a great city, but it's one of many.

If it lived by the rules of the 'elites' who look down at everyone else, it would implode.

So, don't come at me for being a foreigner in a city built and maintained by hard-working foreigners. Without us, you'd be a nothing.

Oh, I'm sorry, without us? I didn't realize the Brazilians had such a hand in making New York what it was, what it would become, and what it is. I know a lot tends to be excised from history books, but I'm sure that would throw some historians for a curve as well.

Well, I do tend to understand and identify with people of different social strata and of course skin colors like mine. Because while I don't have an empathic power, I do have the human trait of empathy. But let me point something out to you.

You might say you're only talking about class and wealth, but that's an excuse to hide your bigotry. Because the people you deem as important, the old wealth of New York, are white. Whitey white white white. So you can throw off your prejudiced bon mots with an internal titter and get mock offended when you get called a bigot. You'll say it's about class, not race.

But it is. Because anyone with pigment to their skin isn't truly of the social class you hold so dear. So grow and wake up.
